Happy Holidays, [Dec. 23rd, 2009|08:31 pm]

wanderbymistake
from Tiny Tommy Comics.

There's nothing new this year (maybe next year?) but there are in fact two Tiny Tommy Christmas comics / holiday favourites.

Pretty old (2006): Elitist Misgivings!
http://syphmag.net/tinytommycomics/31.htm

Very very old (2005): A Tiny Tommy Christmas Story
http://syphmag.net/tinytommycomics/07.htm

It will be like going back in time.

Also, http://tinytommycomics.com. For the people on your HOLIDAY LIST who are only getting a hyper link. Times are tough: give the gift of free comics.

Happy Elitist Misgivings, friends.

Day 15 | A fanfic

I don't read these online, but I have enjoyed a few Pride & Prejudice follow-on books & the recent one about Rhett Butler's point of view.

Day 14 | A non-fictional book

The only non-fiction I read tends to be parenting books, cook books & I half-read organising books before I lose them in a hot spot :p

Note to self: Be More Organised in 2010.

Winnipeg to Toronto Comic [Dec. 20th, 2009|10:20 pm]

wanderbymistake
Keeping up with the theme of being totally behind on posting things, here is a comic from the summertime. I thought I posted it but I can't find the entry?
This was made for Kara P's It Is What You Make it Show in July 2009.

Winnipeg to Toronto: a true story in 25 panels.

Winnipeg to Toronto: a true story in 25 panels. )

PS: This comic may be old, but Syphilitic Mermaids Magazine just posted a similar comic of mine from April, 2008. Not because they're desperate for content, but because I've been conflicted about how and where to show it. You might have seen it already anyway, but if you want more here it is:
The Beautiful Things Project.

Photo Diary, October 1 - October 31 [Dec. 20th, 2009|08:57 pm]

[music |John Vanderslice - And What Did You Do Today]

Here's the thing about October. My camera was haunted. I don't usually talk about what's going on in the photos, but: from the 2nd to the 13th, ghost. October 14th: I got a new camera.
October 15th, I got some lenses.

Photo Diary, October 1 - October 30 )

You know those Flickr accounts where guys post suggestive, or downright pornographic, pictures of their wives, and claim that their wives are totally okay with it? And you feel like it's weird, if a little wrong either way, so you look at it a little more, even though their wives are usually not what you're physically attracted to at all, and the lighting and camera angles are terrible? Here's a compiled list of my personal favourites.

Day 13 | A fictional book

Not sure what this means, but my favourite Christmas fictional book has to be Father Christmas by Raymond Briggs. Also love the Snowman, but you can't beat grumpy bloomin' Santa!
